Hornish will return and challenge for the Nationwide Series championship again this season. The Penske veteran was quite consistent in 2012 with 22 Top-10 finishes and an average finish of 9.7 that was among the best in the series. However, Hornish was held out of victory lane despite all his consistency. The No. 12 Ford team will refocus under new leadership in the upcoming season. Gone is crew chief Chad Walter, and in his place atop the war wagon is veteran chief Greg Erwin. Erwin has Sprint Cup Series victories and Chase appearances in his resume with Roush driver Greg Biffle. The knowledge and experience he brings to the table should help the No. 12 team and Hornish, but it will take the prerequisite time period for the two develop some chemistry.
