Today is like Christmas for NFL teams. Some teams will have their stockings stuffed with gifts, and some with coal. Until today, I have undertook the impossible practice of predicting the picks without trades. Today, I make an even more ridiculous prediction by trying to predict the trades that will happen in tonight's first round of the NFL Draft. Enjoy the craziness that follows. It'll make tonight seem rather tame. The Green means a team traded up to that spot, the pale red means the team traded down. All in all there were five trades predicted.

The New York Giants are turning to a division rival to help turn around their defense. Steve Spagnuolo, who served as linebackers coach for the NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles the last three seasons, was named as the Giants' defensive coordinator on Monday. Spagnuolo replaces Tim Lewis, who was fired on January 11.

As expected, the Giants promoted quarterbacks coach Kevin Gilbride to offensive coordinator on Thursday. Gilbride has served as the quarterbacks coach for the last three seasons under coach Tom Coughlin. After the Giants slipped to 7-8 this past season, Coughlin stripped offensive coordinator John Hufnagel of his play-calling duties and handed them to Gilbride. Gilbride, 55, also called plays for Coughlin when they were together with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 1995-96.
