Copeland went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a double on Sunday, August 14th, helping Salem-Keizer to a 7-2 win over Boise in Northwest League action. Copeland is hitting .310/.370/.500 in 10 games since being promoted from the Arizona Rookie League.

2009

Copeland posted a .751 OPS over 372 at-bats at Double-A last season and an .805 OPS over 85 at-bats at Triple-A Fresno. He also stole 24 bases and is adequate defensively in center field. Still, at age 25, there�s not much offensive potential. The A�s selected him in the Rule 5 draft, so he�ll battle to make it in Oakland as a reserve outfielder.

2008

Selected by the Giants in the fourth round of the 2005 draft, Copeland hit .280/.387/.416 last year for High-A San Jose. He has good plate discipline, but with just seven homers in 404 plate appearances last year, he lacks in power. He'll probably move up to Double-A Connecticut this season, but Copeland projects as a future reserve at best.
