Chong is 33 years old and an 11-year veteran of the top professional league in South Korean (Korea Baseball Organization) who also pitched for South Korea in the 2000 and 2008 Olympics and the 2006 and 2009 World Baseball Classic. He's a submarine-style reliever who would likley work in a setup role. Several MLB teams expressed interest in him this winter.
