2011
After a 4-for-22 stint with the Dodgers in 2009, Hoffman bounced around from the Nationals to the Yankees, ultimately returning to the Dodgers and spending all of 2010 playing for Triple-A Albuquerque. Hoffman batted .308/.368/.429 there, but his eight home runs did nothing to stop the Quad-A label from being affixed to his resume once again. He'll likely spend most, if not all, of 2011 back in Triple-A.
2010
He turned 25 in August, but Hoffman turned in a .291/.390/.466 line between Double-A and Triple-A with the Dodgers' minor league affiliates in 2009. Hoffmann hit 10 homers in 358 at-bats, so he's got a little bit of pop, while he also went 15-for-26 on the basepaths, so the tools suggest that he might be a viable reserve outfielder if he sticks with the Yankees.
