The Chargers are not expected to place their franchise tag on Jackson as Monday's deadline for doing so approaches, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
ROTOWIRE FANTASY ANALYSIS
Jackson would be due 120 percent of his 2011 salary if the Chargers franchise-tagged him, and that would equal $13.7 million, all of which would count against this year’s salary cap. Those with knowledge of the market for receivers say that Jackson's offers might top out at about $12.5 million per year on the open market and that the star receiver might even give the Bolts a home-team discount. So it appears that the Chargers will wait to see what kind of offers their star gets before they throw their hat into the ring.
