Hightower, who started Friday’s preseason game, remains the favorite to claim the Redskins' starting running back job, the Washington Post reports.

Recommendation:
His case is aided by Ryan Torain's lingering hand injury and as long as Hightower can hold on to the ball, literally, he figures to hold on to the job. It remains to be seen how the Redskins' carries will be divided, with Torain and Roy Helu, in particular, threats to steal touches. Still, given Mike Shanahan's history of churning out productive backs, Hightower's depth chart climb is not insignificant from a fantasy perspective.
