The Tigers will activate Ordonez (personal) prior to Friday's game against the Rockies, the team's official site reports.

Recommendation:
Ordonez missed the three-game sweep of the Rangers to be by his wife's side during surgery, but should be re-inserted into the lineup on Friday. He showed signs of breaking out of his season-long slump prior to his leave of absence, collecting a hit in eight straight including an extra-base hit in three straight. Wilkin Ramirez was sent to Triple-A Toledo to open up a roster spot for Ordonez.
