Best (toe) did not practice Thursday, Mlive.com reports.

Recommendation:
The report adds that Best could be a game-time decision Sunday, but fortunately the Lions kick off during the first wave of games this week. If Best does suit up, his toe issue could limit him, however. We'll check back on his status Friday, but if he is unable to go or is limited at all in Week 4, Maurice Morris, and to a lesser degree Kevin Smith, would be in for extra work.
