Tommy Baldwin Racing has hired Ryan Pemberton to lead the No. 36 team as crew chief for Blaney. Pemberton will join the team as they attempt to make the 54th Annual Daytona 500 on February 26, tommybaldwinracing.com reports.

Recommendation:
Veteran chief Pemberton will be tasked with getting Blaney into the field for the season-opening Daytona 500. The No. 36 team recently traded away their owner points from 2011 to Stewart Haas Racing and Danica Patrick's new team in return for other support from SHR. Pemberton owns two career Sprint Cup Series victories as a crew chief, so he should be a stabilizing presence for Blaney and the No. 36 Chevrolet team.
