Earnhardt Jr. was fastest in opening practice for the Sprint Unlimited at Daytona International Speedway Friday afternoon. He turned a fast lap of 198.421 mph.
ROTOWIRE FANTASY ANALYSIS
Kurt Busch maintained the top of the scoring pylon for much of the 45-minute practice. However, Earnhardt edged him with a late-session lap that was .07 seconds faster than Busch's. The driver of the No. 88 Chevrolet looks pretty dialed-in after one practice, so he should be a big contender to win the Sprint Unlimited Saturday night.
