NAPA's hiatus from NASCAR didn't really become one at all. After announcing that it was leaving Michael Waltrip Racing at the end of the season because of the race manipulation allegations at Richmond, the auto parts company will sponsor Elliott full-time in the Nationwide Series in 2014, Yahoo Sports - From the Marbles reports.

Elliott's star is rising fast and big corporate sponsor, NAPA, just bought a big stake in the youngster's future. NAPA will team with JR Motorsports to put the son of NASCAR legend, Bill Elliott, in the No. 9 Chevrolet this season. He'll be a top contender to win Rookie of the Year and might even possibly be an outside contender for the Nationwide Series championship in 2014.
