Billingsley (elbow) is scheduled to undergo a full medical evaluation Tuesday and there's some concern he may require Tommy John surgery, the Los Angeles Times reports.
ROTOWIRE FANTASY ANALYSIS
Billingsley's injury is currently characterized as elbow pain, but the team won't know the extent of the injury until his MRI from Saturday is reviewed in full by the team physician. The 28-year-old right-hander sustained a partially-torn ligament in his elbow that forced him to miss the final month of last season, but he decided to forgo surgery and instead received platelet-rich plasma injections. He may not have the option to avoid surgery this time around, which could keep him sidelined for the rest of 2013.
